How to Celebrate Christmas in Las Vegas, NV Nov 24

If you are not a stickler for all things natural that time Las Vegas is a great place to celebrate Christmas.

This city of illusions proves itself as the weaver of magic and dreams during this time of the year like it not at any time does at any other time. While walking outside on the strip might seem like you are in a time warp with nothing Christmas-y about the city, inside any one of the several hotels the scene is completely different. Artificial these winter wonderlands may be, but a lack of splendor and opulence wouldn’t be its fault. You can enjoy this city whether you plan ahead or make this a last minute trip, though if you are the former kind of tourist you are bound to enjoy much more for a much smaller hit on your pocket. Air tickets rates resort a sharp upturn, hotel rates are higher the closer you are to the holiday season when making the booking. That being related, the plunder of things you can enjoy without paying a dime is pretty long.

Where to Stay in Las Vegas: Strip or Downtown? Jul 29

Recently received a question on Twitter whose answer old stager Las Vegas travelers even now know: Where’s the best area to stay in Las Vegas, near the airport or downtown?

The person was really asking what’s best, the Fremont Street area or the central and especially southern Las Vegas Strip? The airport sits just off the Strip near the Luxor and Mandalay Bay hotels, which are not in its flight path.

The answer has to vary with each person, because the demographics and environments of these areas differ so much.

The Strip

Everyone knows about the Strip, but may not know in what way affordable it has become.

Typically, Strip hotels appeal more to those who want a total casino resort experience, with nice pools, upscale restaurants, top entertainment, etc.

This is especially true of the central and northern Strip, where until recently you didn’t find accurately budget prices. More on how prices have changed below.

Fremont Street – Downtown

Traditionally, Fremont Street has appealed to slot and poker players who don’t want to bomb out a lot for rooms and food.
