UCA Gallery Summer Salon
This summer the UCA Gallery in Observatory, Cape Town, presents their Summer Salon 2009. The UCA Gallery has pulled in a hub of young and emerging capacity from completely over South Africa. Artists working in a diverse range of media and approach towards art-making; this show will exist a light and fresh juxtaposition of artworks to end off the year.
Artists whose work will be presented include Trasi Henen, Lauren Palte, Colleen Alborough, Bronwyn Lace, Liezel Prins, Rat Western, Ricky Burnett, Vaughn Sadie and Michael Taylor.
Introducing artists that UCA Gallery has created a platform for – the Summer Salon will give a delectable taste of what is in store and still to come – solo shows and cuttingly – edgy contemporary and post-surreal exhibitions and bodies of works. The gallery prides itself on working with the most intuitive, dynamic and unique artists that South Africa has to offer.
Becoming a end for young and open minded collectors, press and avid art-lovers, as well as drawing the attention of national collections, the gallery stands out as a pinnacle for contemporary South African art.
