I’m by no means a twitcher but I finish love birdwatching. Birds just add a brilliant dash of color to the safari palette. In Kenya alone, there are more than 1000 species of birds. It’s not unheard of to spot more than 400 in just a two week trip. You can just take for hypothesis the scrolls of bird lists needed to record all those.
While many standard Kenyan safaris add Lake Nakuru to the itinerary so visitors can gaze in awe at the open view of thousands of flamingos, a quick trip to the Masai Mara will also unveil an entire world of birds you’ve never seen before. So while you’re rushing near to, trying to spot the Big 5, look up at the sky or focus your binoculars on the tree tops, it’s most rewarding. Check out my new Birds of Kenya photo gallery for a little feathery delight.
