A young friend of my daughter’s recently sent me a link to a webpage started by one of her friends to encourage carpooling in Egypt. Cairo reputedly has 20 million inhabitants and I’m minded to bet about 10 million cars. These days any message at all can take hours. I think that this is a great idea and I really wish them all the best.
